Party leader claims Imran Khan is being beaten after he was arrested for corruption.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief and former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was taken into custody by the paramilitary organization on Tuesday in connection with a corruption case. Imran Khan was arrested from a court premises in Islamabad in a defilement case, as per the reports. On social media, a video of Imran Khan's dramatic arrest outside the Pakistani high court is being shared.
"In the Qadir Trust case, Imran Khan has been arrested," the official Islamabad police Twitter account stated, referring to a graft case.
The powerful army had accused Taboola Imran Khan of making baseless accusations against a senior ISI officer the day before the former prime minister was arrested.
In a video message on Twitter, PTI leader Musarrat Cheema stated: They are tormenting Imran Khan the present moment… they are beating Khan sahib. Khan sahib has been the subject of their endeavors.
Fawad Chaudhry, an assistant to Imran Khan, stated, "The car of Imran Khan has been surrounded." Imran Khan was also allegedly dragged out of the court and into a police vehicle, according to the leader of the PTI. Chaudhry said the former premier is currently in the custody of the security forces, calling it an "abduction."

According to senior party leader Shireen Mazari, Imran Khan, who traveled from Lahore to the federal capital Islamabad, was undergoing a biometric process at the court when the Rangers broke open the glass window and arrested him after beating Imran Khan's lawyers and security staff.
