The prime supporter and guitarist of Irish musical gang The Content, Imprint Sheehan, has kicked the bucket.
The band announced that the 46-year-old died in the hospital on Friday after a brief illness.
The band was formed in 2001 by Sheehan, Danny O'Donoghue, the vocalist, and Glen Power, the drummer.
Sheehan was described as a "much loved husband, father, brother, band mate, and friend" in a statement posted on the band's social media accounts.
It asked fans to respect his family's and bandmates' privacy.
Sheehan was born in Mount Brown, The Liberties, Dublin, on October 29, 1976.
He was a guitarist, singer, and songwriter who had a lifelong love of music.
Along with O'Donoghue, the frontman of The Script, he was a member of the band Mytown from 1996 to 2001.
Sheehan was the guitarist, O'Donoghue was the singer-songwriter, and Power was the drummer when The Script formed in Dublin in 2001.
After signing a record deal with Sony Music Group, the band moved to London.
There, they released "We Cry," their first full album, which reached number one in both Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Their subsequent three albums, Science & Faith, #3, and No Sound Without Silence, all debuted at the top of both countries' album charts.
In the United States, Science & Faith reached number three, while in Australia, it reached number two.
From that point forward the band have kept on visiting the world and delivery unique music collections, joining Irish topics with pop-rock subtleties.
They have been known for writing from the heart, such as in "If You Could See Me Now," which addresses the deaths of both Sheehan's parents and the father of vocalist O'Donoghue.
Fans over the course of the past year have asked why Sheehan had a brief break from the stage.
Sheehan missed the band's tour through the United States in 2022. O'Donoghue let the media know that his bandmate had enjoyed some time off to invest energy with his loved ones.
He told Sunday World that the group was in favor of Sheehan's decision and that they were like "a band of brothers" who "stick together no matter what."
On social media, the band's followers have been paying homage to Sheehan by recalling the band's albums and performances.
Kodaline, a fellow Irish rock band, has also expressed their gratitude, writing on Twitter: So sorry to learn the death of Imprint Sheehan.
"He was always such a lovely man, and we had the fortunate opportunity to spend time in his company over the years. Our sincere sympathies go out to his family and The Script brothers."
