Ali Amin Gandapur of the PTI was detained in DI Khan.
In a case involving an audio tape of PTI leader Ali Ameen Gandapur allegedly threatening the authorities and the police against the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the police in Dera Ismail Khan detained him on Thursday.
According to the audio, the leader of the PTI had reportedly made the threat to siege Islamabad if the former prime minister were to be arrested.
Gandapur — who had been declining to give up — was captured by the police at the entryway of the Dera Ismail Khan seat of the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
In an interview with journalists outside the courtroom, Gandapur stated: I know nothing about FIRs [first data reports]. They claim that an FIR has been filed against me, necessitating my arrest.
In addition, the former federal minister stated that he did not "have an ounce of confidence" in the authorities and that several cases had been filed against him.
Khan criticized the center-right coalition government before the arrest, claiming that the country is governed by the "law of the jungle."
"In Pakistan [istan], the complete jungle law is in effect right now." The deposed prime minister stated, "PDM and handlers have a one-point agenda - that is to go after PTI workers and leadership."
"Despite bails, it was decided to preemptively arrest Ali Amin Gandapur. "But they will still be decimated in the elections, insha'Allah," the deposed premier, who was removed from power in April of last year by a vote in the parliamentary assembly, stated.
Khan also shared a video in which Gandapur's attorney can be heard saying that the sessions judge was told by the district police officer (DPO) that they had to arrest the PTI leader "no matter what the cost."Despite the fact that the DPO informed the judge that he was prepared to face contempt of court, he claimed that the judge informed the police officer that Gandapur had been granted bail.
Hamid Mir of Geo News played a "threatening" audio message from the PTI leader on his show, in which he threatened the government against arresting the chairman of his party.
It was impossible to confirm the audio statement's date.
"The PDM government is my first target for my message: In the audio statement, the former federal minister can be heard declaring, "We will lay siege to Islamabad through the power of the people."
"The police are my second audience: "We will not deal with them like police, but like PDM workers, if the police, in support of this government, create obstacles in our path," he added.
The former legislator advised the police to stay out of "the political battle" and let the people decide the country's fate. Additionally, he advised the populace to travel to Islamabad as the ongoing "war is a decisive one."
Mahmood Khan, the former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, issued a statement in which he criticized the arrest of Gandapur and stated that the "imported government" has "set records of fascism."
The former chief minister asserted that PTI would ultimately prevail and that the nation supports his party's stand for "real democracy and freedom."
Shahzad Waseem, the Senate opposition leader, wrote in a tweet that the "unconstitutional government" has "records of breaking the law."
"Fascism is the arrest of Ali Amin Gandapur despite his bail. The country is governed by the law of the jungle," the senator continued.
Qasim Suri, a former deputy speaker in the National Assembly, said that Gandapur had been granted bail in "all cases" and that his arrest was a "despicable act."
"Every captain's soldier, Imran, is steadfast against the fascist government.
Taimur Khan Jhagra, the former health minister of the KP, stated: Ali, the Pakistani people are with you. We all support you.
Shaukat Yousafzai, the PTI KP Information Secretary, criticized the arrest of Gandapur and stated that the government was employing all "tactics" to evade elections in his statement.
As a result of the court's earlier invalidation of Section 124-A of the PPC, Muttahida Qaumi Movement–Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Faisal Sabzwari, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Executive Committee Chairman Hasan Raza Pasha, and others condemned Gandapur's arrest under the sedition law on the Geo News program "Capital Talk."
